Railways sends 3 lakh 'rail neer' bottles to flood hit Jammu and Kashmir

Reaching out to the flood affected people of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Railways has sent three lakh 'rail neer' water bottles to the State.

The bottles, produced by Railway's PSU IRCTC, were sent with the help of the Air Force and through trains, a Railway spokesperson today said.

He said that railways has also decided to sent 50,000 water bottles daily to Jammu and Kashmir.

He said Delhi Division of Northern Railway has also made special arrangements for people coming from the flood affected areas and for those who are visiting the state.

An exclusive waiting room has been earmarked for their use at the New Delhi station, he said.

Passengers can also contact the station manager or the deputy station manager for their journey.

Help desks have also been opened in Jammu, Udhampur and Katra, the spokesperson added.
