Railway traffic towards Ahmedabad affected due to breakdown of Overhead Equipment near Vadodara

Around 9 trains have been affected due to the technical failure and are running late for three hours.

Railway traffic between Ahmedabad and Mumbai was affected following a break down of the Overhead Equipment(OHE) between KIM and Kosamba of Vadodara division.

As per Railway officials, most of the super fast and long distance trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad were running late for almost three hours and the trains were regulated on the route due to the technical issue.

The incident took place at around 3.30am in the morning between the Kim and Kosamba route of Vadodara division of Western railways. The Overhead cable of the OHE had some technical issue in the wires and the electric supply was cut, thereby resulting in the railway traffic of all down trains from Mumbai side were halt.

Khemraj Singh, Public relation officer of Vadodara division Said, "The break down of the OHE has been restored by the railway staff by 9.45am and it has been a free traffic now. We are still finding the reason behind break-down of OHE and for which our team is working on it. 

Till now around 9 train all down from Mumbai have been affected and running late for three hours due to the issue."
