Dubbing Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's Champaran speech as 'immature', the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson MJ Akbar on Saturday said Rahul's speech is evidence of why Rashtriya Janata Dal(RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not share the dais with him." Why RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar refuse to share the dias and a platform with him (Rahul). His speech is evidence of why nobody wants to be there," Akbar said.

"It was an extremely immature speech. He certainly needs a new script writer as his speeches have become stale. People rightly say that his real problem is lack of experience, and this is true. He hasn't done a day's work in his life. He has never worked a single day in any responsible office," Akbar said.

Gandhi had slammed Prime Minister Modi for not fulfilling the promises made by the latter ahead of 2014 Lok Sabha elections."Prime Minister Modi promised two lakh jobs, promised Rs.15 lakh deposit to each account and to reduce high prices. Did it happen? 'Feku tha, hai' (He was a braggart and will remain one," said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally in Champaran.
