Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement that some people enjoy pessimism, the Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi advised him that instead of offering excuses and issuing such statements, Modi should stand up and say that his government has failed to deliver.

Issuing yet another advice to the Prime Minister, Rahul said that he should focus mainly on two major issues concerning country's youth and farmers. "Like a true statesman, Modi should admit failure of his government and say that we will deliver now since we still have one more year to go," advised Rahul.

Rahul pointed that farmers and youth feel cheated. "Instead of scaring people of the country, Modiji should now seriously work for their welfare," said Rahul.

Rahul got the response from the people of his constituency at the Janata Darbar which he held for over two hours. People stood in long queues to apprise him of their grievances pertaining to development, power and drinking water. He gave a patient hearing to each of them and assured to take up their issues with the local and state administration.

Rahul stopped his convoy at Aaganwadi Kendra where he sat on the floor to listen to their problems. Later, Rahul held held talks with party workers at Rajiv Gandhi College in Tiloi. Party workers alleged that the district administration was not releasing funds due to which several projects launched by him remained incomplete.
