Congress President Rahul Gandhi continued his attack on Narendra Modi over his speech in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, saying Prime Minister wasn't interested in answering fundamental questions.

The Congress leader also said that there was something wrong in Rafale fighter jet deal.

"Asked PM (Modi) 3 questions — cost of jets, if they asked cabinet committee on security about it and why was contract snatched from HAL and given to a businessman? But got no answers."

"PM gave a long speech but wasn't interested in answering fundamental questions," he added.

Stating that the Defense Minister herself said that cost of Rafale aircrafts will be told, Rahul said, "But now she is saying it is a state secret and cannot be revealed... So, which one of her statements is correct?"

"There is something wrong in the (Rafale) matter (Ye saaf hai ke maamle mein gadbadi hui hai), Rahul said.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra accused the Congress of spending its time in power eulogising the Gandhi family at the cost of India's development, dubbed NPAs as the UPA government's "sin" and reeled out figures to rebuff opposition criticism on unemployment and other issues.

In his over 90-minute reply in the Lok Sabha to a debate on the motion of thanks for the president's address, Modi alleged that lies were being spread to create a sense of disappointment among the middle class about his government.

However, Rahul had accused Modi of protecting those behind alleged corruption in the Rafale deal and said he needs to answer the country on questions posed to him on it and on farmers and jobs instead of making allegations in Parliament.
