Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party terming it an outfit "filled with outsiders" who have no idea about cultural, civilizational and historical ethos of the state.

Sukhbir accused AAP leaders of committing "sacrilege" by "equating their frivolous manifesto" with the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He said the party had "wounded the sentiments" of all Punjabis and Sikhs by planting their election symbol 'broom' on the image of Darbar Sahab on the cover of their manifesto. He said Opposition was spreading "misinformation" about development in the state whereas the truth is that Punjab has become a model state with several initiatives.

Earlier, during sangat darshan programme, he interacted with the people from several villages. He announced financial grants for the villages for concretisation of streets and drains, water supply, sports stadiums, gyms, community hall and submersible bores.
