The incident occurred in Karnataka’s Belagavi district on Sunday night. 25-year-old Raghuveer Kumbar allegedly killed his father Shankrappa Kumbhar (65). Raghuveer was addicted to playing PUBG and his father objected to him playing the game. This led to constant fights between them.
When Shankrappa, a retired cop, again objected to his son’s constant videogaming, it led to another pater-son fight.
However, things took a heinous turn when the youngster allegedly beheaded his father and dismembered him by cutting of his legs.
The police have arrested the son and are waiting for more details.
A 15-year-old boy from Bhiwandi in Thane district allegedly stabbed his elder brother to death after he scolded him for playing PUBG on his mobile phone in July .
Mohammad Shaikh, 19, asked his brother to stop playing the game on his mobile phone when the boy in a fit of rage allegedly banged Shaikh's head on the wall and stabbed him with a pair of scissors, said police inspector Mamata D'Souza.
Shaikh was rushed to a government hospital where he was declared brought dead.
A case has been registered under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), said D'Souza.
