Demanding severe and prompt punishment for culprits involved in the brutal gang rape of 23-year-old girl in New Delhi, people from the small towns of Garhwal region on Saturday took to the streets for the second consecutive day.

The victim, who hails from neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, studied at an institute in Uttarakhand before moving to Delhi for her internship.
