Despite innovations and progress India made since Independence, the country is facing many problems including in security and economics sectors, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said today.
Though Indian qualities were acclaimed across the globe, problems were knocking on our doors, Bhagwat said, addressing an alumni meet of Bal Bharti school here.
"We can trust our social qualities and say we are sound. But the situation the country is passing through...what is happening?" he asked.
Bhagwat raised questions on probelms on the security and economic fronts and noted that the situation was happening despite India having "intelligent" people.
The RSS leader also hit out at the current education system, saying it does not teach culture and traditions, and called for overcoming the weaknesses with self-respect and developing an emotional bond with nature and culture.
