A pro-Islamic State media group, Ahwaal Ummat Media Centre has warned of attacks in India and hinted that the Taj Mahal could be a possible target, reported the Hindustan Times.

The group, on March 14, posted a graphic of Taj Mahal on Telegram, an encrypted communication app, according to Site Intelligence Group, which tracks jihadi activity on the web. The graphic featured a fighter standing near the monument in Agra. He was wearing combat fatigues and black headgear and holding an assault rifle as well as a rocket-propelled grenade.

An inset in the graphic featured Taj Mahal with the words "New Target" written below along with an “Agra istishhadi” - Arabic text written in English (it means Agra martyrdom-seeker). There is a threat of a suicide attack.

This is not the first time Islamic State has threatened to attack India. A pro-ISIS channel on Telegram had incited attacks post Saifullah's death in Lucknow on March 8.
