Prisoners angry with Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, they can kill him, claims jail inmate

Rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is serving a 20-year jail sentence in Rohtak's Sunaira jail, is in more trouble.

If the words of a jail inmate are to believed, the prisoners are so angry with Dera Sacha Sauda chief that they can kill him.

Somu Pandit, who is out on bail, spoke to news agency ANI on Friday.

According to Pandit, if left alone without security, the prisoners can kill Ram Rahim.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted by the special CBI Court in Panchkula on August 25 in connection with 15-year-old rape cases of two female followers.

Two days later, the court sentenced him to 20 years in jail for raping the Dera followers at his Sirsa Headquarters.

The conviction had sparked massive protests by Dera followers in and around Panchkula.

Over 30 people were killed and hundreds injured in the violence.

On Friday, the security forces along with district administration carried out an extensive search operation inside the Dera Sacha Sauda Headquarters in Sirsa, Haryana.

According to media reports, luxury car, an OB van, unlabelled medicines, old currency notes and hard disk drives were recovered from various rooms of the Dera Headquarters.

The Dera premises also houses educational institutions, markets, a hospital, stadium, recreational areas and houses.
