'Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana' will benefit everyone: Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday hailed the 'Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana' scheme, saying that it will benefit each and every person.

Upon his arrival in Lucknow for the launch of the scheme, Singh said, "The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is being launched across the country today. I have come to Lucknow to launch the same scheme for the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is a very good scheme which will make each citizen of the country confident and self reliant".

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is an ambitious scheme, under which the government would provide every household with a bank account and an insurance cover. The scheme is to be launched across the country simultaneously, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching it in Delhi.
