After witnessing violent clashes between the police and residents on Friday night, the Ramganj area on Saturday was limping back normal with the exception of minor stray incidents. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje was personally montoring the situation and even deputed state BJP chief Ashok Parnami, mayor Ashok Lahoti and MLA Mohan Lal Gupta to visit the area and organise peace meetings with the community leaders and appeal for peace and harmony.

Looking at the improvement in the situationm police even gave some relaxation in curfew. However, a late announcement said that the curfew will remain imposed till 4am Monday as a precautionary measure.

It was a different day break on Saturday for the denizens of four police station areas of the city as the roads of Ramganj, Manak Chowk, Galta gate and Subhash Chowk areas were devoid of any soul.

The roads, devoid of the usual hustle and bustle of people and blasting horns of vehicles, presented a contrasting view of the part of the walled city.

The entire area has been converted into a cantonment as nearly 3,000 police officials have been posted to negate any further ill occurance. Commissioner Sanjay Agarwal, who had reached Ramganj after the incident occurred, stayed at Ramganj police station till morning handling and monitoring the situation.

As the day progressed, a flag march was done by the police teams in the affected area while people were appealed to maintain peace. As a result of the curfew nearly two dozen education institutes falling in the affected area remained closed.

Furthermore the drone footage also revealed several men lining in small alleys. Suspecting that the gathering might try to create another ruckus, the forces were diverted into alleys where the gathering was taken by surprise and after asked by the police to return back to their homes, the people retreated. Additional forces were then deployed in Sanganer, Bhatta Basti, Jalupura and Transport Nagar police station areas.

Highly placed sources in the police department revealed that a small rally was carried out by locals against the police for registering cases against crowd. However since curfew had been imposed in the area the police registered a case against those who took out the rally which the people objected to claiming that they were just denoting their discontent.

Meanwhile, nearly 1,500 shops falling in the curfew area remained closed which affected the business in the area.

Curfew also resulted in late supply of water as the water pumping station was devoid of any officials. Later after senior Commissionerate officials came to know of the same, orders were immediately given to carry out pumping so that water can reach people's home.

Moreover since the curfew area lies close to the historical monuments and tourist spots, the commissionerate had deployed its personnel to keep vigil on the monuments and also to provide security to the tourists keeping a mind the possibility of a mishap. Route of vehicular traffic that usually passed through the affected area was also diverted. Vehicles headed to Delhi were not allowed to pass through Amer but were diverted from express way.

Meanwhile five cases have been registered in the incident. Three cases have been registered by journalists who sustained damage to their properties by agitators, one case has been registered by woman who was allegedly hit by cops while one more case has been registered by the police against the crowd for spreading violence in the area.
