While seeking non-bailable warrants for Robert Vadra's personal assistant Manoj Arora, the Enforcement Directorate has said the plush house in London which is under the scanner belongs to Robert Vadra. ED also alleged that Vadra has close relations with controversial defence consultant Sanjay Bhandari who is now hiding in London.

DNA has the copy of ED application which was submitted in a Delhi court. In the brief hearing on Saturday, ED counsel Nitish Rana said the investigations were first carried out by Income Tax against Sanjay Bhandari in the Black Money Act.

ED in its remand application said IT had carried out raids at Sanjay Bhandari premises. "The documents retrieved from the digital evidence contains some emails in respect on one property at 12, Bryanston Square, London, at UK valued at GBP 1.9 million. From various email exchanges between one Sumit Chadda (close relative of Sanjay Bhandari in UK) Robert Vadra and Manoj Arora (respondent), personal assistant to Robert Vadra it emerges that Vadra was beneficially controlling aforesaid property and not only executing renovation work of this property through Sumit Chanda was also arranging funds for the same."

ED further said, "On Dec 10, 2009, payment of GBP 1.9 million was made from an account 1021497657901 of Sanech Intl FZC UAE with Emirates NBD Al-Qusais branch UAE".

ED alleges this gives details to the fact that Bhandari was not actually the owner of the property, and it was Vadra who was incurring expenditure on the property. This fact is further inferred from the email dated July 5, 2010 addressed to M (Manoj Arora) on email "eximrealestate@gamil.com" by Sumit Chadda enclosing therewith it item wise expenses incurred and expenditure projected in future for the said property even after the sale of the said property to SkyLight Investment FZC (sold in June 2010).

On Dec 10, ED had carried out raids and searches in six locations in Delhi and Bengaluru including the official premises of Skylight Hospitality which is reportedly owned by Vadra. ED has said that three summons were issued to Manoj Arora but he refused to join the probe. Later a Look Out Circular was issued to prevent him from fleeing the country. ED fears that he has already fled the country and the need for an open ended NBW is required so that it can approach Interpol for Red Corner Notice against Arora.
