One of the toppers of Bihar intermediate exam has embarrassed School Examination Board after she failed to pronounce 'Political Science' and called it a subject about one's cooking skills.

A video of a television channel has gone viral after it showed the arts stream topper could not answer to queries about the subjects she had excelled in.

State's Arts topper Ruby Ray, who scored 444 out of 500 was completely clueless when she was asked what political science was all about, she said that it deals with one's cooking skills and pronounced the name of the subject as 'Prodigal Science'.

Embarrassed by the alleged academic incompetence of its state-level toppers, the Bihar School Examination Board has ordered an investigation.

According to Times of India, the authorities have asked the students to appear for an interview and once again take a small examination related to their subject, in spite of the fact that their results have been declared on May 29.

"Top five students of all the streams- Arts, Commerce, and Science would be interviewed by a special committee about their subject and also take a small test,"  BSEB chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh told the daily.

"I have received a complaint that arts topper was not competent enough to top the subject. But we have re-examined her papers and could not find any problem in that. Hence, we have decided to call the top five students of all the streams and interview them. This is to find out the root cause behind this problem," he said.
