Police nab 30 people from Noida in fraud case

In a major development on Thursday, the city police nabbed nearly 30 people from Noida for their involvement in a case of fraud.

“Few days back a case was registered at Ashok Nagar police station by one Bhagwan Sahay. In his report, Bhagwan Sahay informed that he had invested Rs40 lakh in the market which he had invested through a call centre company based in Noida. But the company fraudulently kept the money with itself. After investigation the cops reached Noida and arrested five main accused along with others,” officials said.

2 arrested for thrashing mentally-challenged woman: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly thrashing a mentally-challenged woman with a rubber pipe in Nagaur district of Rajasthan, police said on Thursday.

The incident happened on Tuesday but it came to light after someone uploaded the video of the incident on social media today.

Two persons identified as Prakash Meghwal and Shrawan Meghwal have been arrested, they said. We are also searching for the man who uploaded the video on social media, SHO, Balaji police station, Puranmal Meena said. He said the suspects beat the woman on the suspicion that she was entering their fields with some ill-intention.

Biker killed in road mishap: An accident occurred late on Wednesday night in Murlipura area wherein an unidentified vehicle ran over a biker. “The incident occurred on the express highway around 10.30 pm when one Madan lal (60), a resident of Gokulpura on Kalwar road was passing when a vehicle ran over him. The man fell on the road and became unconscious. Passers by informed the police, which rushed him to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
