Slamming the Delhi police for failing to produce evidence like CCTV footage installed outside the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Daryaganj, a Delhi court on Tuesday granted interim relief from arrest to Bigg Boss contestant Swami Om who is accused of molesting and threatening a woman.

Special Judge Hemani Malhotra granted relief to Swami Om and co-accused Swami Santosh Anand till March 20 as the police stated before the court that they do keep the CCTV footage of past 15 days and since the incident had taken place on February 7, so they needed time to retrieve the footage.

Appearing for Swami Om, his counsel AP Singh produced the entry ticket to the DCP office in Daryaganj where his client had gone to meet the police officials seeking security.
"I have produced the entry ticket which is made only after one produces a valid identity card. Also I gave the list of police officers who took selfies with Om Swami. The police have falsely implicated my client with malafide intentions," Advocate AP Singh told DNA.

Singh also stated that Swami spent his day in the offices of various police officials at Daryaganj and he had not links to the co-accused Anand.
The court was hearing an anticipatory bail plea of Swami Om who has alleged that he was falsely implicated in the case as he has been advocating Indian culture and anti-social elements wanted to stop his "social activity".

According to an FIR registered at the IP Estate police station, the woman had accused both Swami Om and Santosh Anand of hurling abuses and committing objectionable acts. She also alleged that Swami Om had ripped off her clothes on February 7 after dragging her into their room and attempted to rape her.
