Police arrest six Maoists from Jharkhand

Police arrested six Maoists from Chaibasa district in Jharkhand after acting on an intelligence tip-off on Saturday.

Police have arrested the leading commander, two section commanders along with three hardcore Maoists of Jharkhand Regional Bhakpa (Maowadi), a communist party.

Briefing media persons, District Inspector General (Kolhan range), Mohammed Nehal, said that that they acted on exclusive intelligence information.

"We acted on the exclusive information from intelligence and have arrested six important active officers. We have recovered various objectionable materials from them. The Maoists arrested have charges on them for being involved in around twelve district cases," said Nehal.

The police recovered arms and explosives from the Maoists. Police also came to know from this arrest that each Maoist works under atleast nine to ten names which he keeps changing according to the area they are in.
