PM wishes melody queen Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted melody queen Lata Mangeshkar on her 85th birthday. "On Lata Didi's birthday, I convey my warm greetings and pray for her long life and good health," the Prime Minister said.

Several film celebrities including her sister Asha Bhosle, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and singer Shreya Ghosal also wished her and thanked her for giving several memorable songs. "Your voice is the thread that connects the human spirit to the Almighty. Happy Birthday, many many happy returns of the day. Love, respect and may you live many more years," Bachchan posted. Asha posted some black and white pictures of their childhood, where the two sisters could be seen sharing light moments.
