On the annual observance of 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities', Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday saluted their indomitable spirit, calling them our heroes.
"On 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities', I salute the indomitable spirit of all persons with disabilities. They are our heroes," tweeted PM Modi.
"Let us all work together to create a world where persons with disabilities can scale new heights of success without any obstacles," he said in a series of tweetes.

December 3 is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992 that aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
Each year the day is celebrated with a special theme. This year the International Day of Persons with Disabilities will be celebrated with the theme of 'Sustainable development: The promise of technology'.
