Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar also indicated that there is support from various parties from parts of the country. “The manner in which AIADMK and Telangana Rashtriaya Samiti have favoured giving us support to the motion of no-confidence is an indication that they aren’t involved in the Opposition’s game,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena said that they will not give their decision of no confidence until Friday. "Shiv Sena will work on directions of Uddhav Thackeray Ji. No Confidence Motion hasn't been moved by Shiv Sena, we will see what we have to do tomorrow. We have only been asked to be present in the Lok Sabha tomorrow: Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant.
Earlier, Shah hit out at the opposition, particularly the Congress, for repeated disruptions in Parliament, saying they were doing so as they were unable to digest his party's victory in one state after another, and asserted that the government was ready to face no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha.
Shah alleged that the Congress was trying to prevent discussion on the key schemes related to healthcare insurance and minimum support prices of produce that are being introduced by the Modi government.
Earlier, the notices for no-confidence motion against the government could not be taken up in the Lok Sabha today due to noisy protests by several parties, which washed out the proceedings in both Houses of Parliament.
Thursday was the 11th consecutive day that the proceedings were washed out and the second day that Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan could not take up the notices for no- confidence motion.
While the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day within about ten minutes after it had assembled in the morning, the Lok Sabha was first adjourned till noon and then for the day after the listed papers were laid.
The Lower House was adjourned for the day amid noisy protests by members from various parties, with Mahajan saying "since the House is not in order, I will not be able to bring it... I am sorry" and then adjourning the proceedings.
Amid the din, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the government was ready for discussion on any issue, including on the no-confidence motion.
