YouGov Survey picked most admired people in the world.
Two Indians have made it to YouGov Survey of most admired men globally. While no Indian made it top 10 in the list of most admired women, Aishwariya Rai is in 11th spot ,Priyanka Chopra is in 12th spot and actress Deepika Paduke occupies 13th spot in the survey.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates has been voted as the most admired man, while Angelina Jolie took the top honour among women. Market research company YouGov interviewed over 37,000 people from 35 countries.
Among women, entertainers are extremely popular with 3/4th of the spot in top 20 taken by them. Actors who have lend their names to social causes have moved up the 'admired' rank. The list for men is more diverse with politicians, tech giants, footballers etc making the list.
Incidentally US President Trump is in 17th spot globally, whereas erudite Barack Obama is ranked 2nd. Putin and Xi Jinping alongside Modi are in the top 10, an indication that the age of strong leaderrs are truly here. Among tech czars, Bil Gates, Jack Ma make the cut among top-ten. Incidentally the Pope is not in the top 10. The likes of Messi, Federer and Zuckerberg not there in the top 20 list may come across as surprising to many.
