Ahead of a public meeting organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) here on Tuesday, Surendra Jain, international joint general secretary of VHP said that he believed Prime Minster Narendra Modi along with newly-elected UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would soon come up with a way to build Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.

“You know Modi is famous for surprises. Just like his decision of a surgical strike, you will see one morning that the bill would be brought regarding building Ram temple has been taken. It has been their commitment in the election manifesto and Adityanath had said he would ensure it, soon after he became the CM,” Jain said and added that even if it was difficult to pass the bill at Rajya Sabha, Modi might pass it in a joint session of both the houses of the parliament.

He also lashed out at West Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee saying that she had been stooping too low for her vote bank politics. “Some leaders will bow down to religious leaders like the Tipu Sultan Masjid Imam Barkati to woo Muslim votes. What she doesn’t realise is that Hindus of Bengal has risen against her Muslim appeasement. It is evident in the way Ram Navami had been celebrated across the state,” he said.

He claimed that the success of Ram Navami celebration in Bengal heralded the arrival of saffron rule here. “Saffron is getting unprecedented acceptance in Bengal. It is the beginning of the saffron era here. Mamata’s partial attitude towards the Muslims is a challenge to Hindus. This year, over 2 lakh participated in Ram Navami celebration,” he said.

He also added that over 540 rallies were taken out on the occasion and out of those there were trouble reported in only five places. “Our processions were attacked and police as usual played the role of silent spectators but Hindus have retaliated this time. It is sad that while Mamata has patronised Madrassas, she has stopped Saraswati Puja at various places. Mamata is like a reincarnation of Emperor Aurangzeb and Hindus under her rule are like living by paying Jazia Tax,” he added.

Referring to allegations of polarisation, he said that while Mamata had polarised people against the country the saffron brigade had polarised people to ensure nationalisation. “This Ram Navami we are proud of the polarisation by patriots of Bengal,” he said.
