Yogi Adityanath also thanked FM Jaitley for breathing new life into the country's economy.

On Tuesday, new Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is also Gorakhpur MP addressed the Lok Sabha. He thanked Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for breathing new life into the country’s economy. He added that the government has worked for all sections of society without any discrimination, and claimed that in the past the state didn’t utilise funds allocated by the central government.
He also told Leader of Opposition M Kharge that he was a younger than Rahul Gandhi and older than Akhilesh. He said: “Main Rahul Ji se ek saal chhota hu aur Akhilesh Ji se ek saaI bada hu. In dono(Rahul & Akhilesh) ki jodi ke beech mein jo main aagaya ye aapki viphalta ka ek karan ho sakta hai.”

The UP CM also called Narendra Modi a global icon and said: “Modi government has given us growth. Our Prime Minister a global development icon. I thank the Finance Minister for breathing new life into our country's economy. Modi government has helped farmers and has lived up to the expectations of the people of India."
He also spoke about various people-oriented schemes like Ujjawala Yojna and said that the Modi government was working for all sections of society. He added about UP: “People can talk about my age. Yes, I am a year younger to Rahul Gandhi (Congress vice president). Also, Akhilesh Yadav. I must say I have come in between both of them." He also said, "UP will be a state where there will be law and order and no corruption. It will be a state where women will be safe. I invite all to visit the state."
He added PM Modi's dream of Uttam Pradesh will be fulfilled.
