Modi chaired the meeting to review the progress of work done & deliberate on aspects of cleaning the Ganga.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the first meeting of National Rejuvenation, Protection, and Management of River Ganga Council (National Ganga Council) at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology at Kanpur on Saturday.
Modi chaired the meeting to review the progress of work done & deliberate on aspects of cleaning the Ganga.
Earlier today, Yogi Adityanath reached Kanpur airport with other dignitaries to receive him.
"All the preparations for the programme have been completed. The Chief Minister (Yogi Adityanath) has also inspected the area. Preparations have been done as per the protocol of the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister has ordered that cleanliness and security should be given priority," ANI quoted Kanpur District Magistrate Vijay Vishwas Pant as saying earlier today.
Other prominent ministers present in the meeting are Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi and various other ministers.
