BJP leader Varun Gandhi on Sunday said that the country will only progress if people work together with a feeling of brotherhood and love for each other.

"Our country is huge. Here, we attach great importance to relations. Our country will only progress if we work together with a feeling of brotherhood and love for each other," he said. Varun said the responsible people in the society should come forward for the progress of the country.

"Recognised people of the society should come forward for the progress of the country and they must take responsibility in this regard. For this, people have to be determined to come forward," he said on the sidelines of a scholarship distribution event organised by a Ramnavami Committee.

The committee is led by Hind Samachar Group's Chief Editor Vijay Kumar Chopra. Addressing the children at the event, Varun asked them to dream big and work with courage to fulfil their goals.

"Don't dream small. Always, cultivate feelings of compassion in your life. Once there were people in our country who struggled to get one meal per day. We should always remember them and work towards nation-building," the MP from Sultanpur said.

Praising the Hind Samachar Group's Chief Editor Chopra for organising the event, Varun said he, too, will hold a similar scholarship distribution ceremony in his Lok Sabha constituency to help poor children.
Meanwhile, Varun today paid obeisance at Dera Hansali in Fatehgarh Sahib and got blessings of Sant Baba Ajit Singh Hansaliwale.
