Even as the Supreme Court temporarily refused to hear the Arvind Kejriwal government's suit for declaration of Delhi as a full state on Friday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said people of the national capital can approach L-G Najeeb Jung if they are facing civic issues in the capital.

"Today on, if people have any issue with civic amenities related to power and water then they should go to the LG because all powers are vested with him now," party leader Ashutosh told the media in a press conference.

The party's statements come a day after the Delhi high court ruled that L-G is the "administrative head" of the capital. The High Court also termed the Delhi government's commission of inquiry in the CNG fitness scam and the DDCA irregularities illegal, since they were formed without consulting the LG.

The party launched a scathing attack on Jung over alleged inaction in the CNG fitness scam, irregularities in DDCA and a complaint filed against Reliance.

Reiterating its earlier stand of respecting the high court judgement but not agreeing with it, Ashutosh raised questions over the role of chief Minister, his cabinet and the elected representatives in such a scenario.

"We hope to get justice in the Supreme Court the way it gave in the case of Arunachal Pradesh," he said. The Congress government was reinstated by the apex court in the state recently.

"Since Najeeb Jung is the head of the National Capital Territory and also the ACB, we want to know what action has been taken in the DSAC, CNG fitness scam. What is the status of the FIR? We want to know what action has been taken against Jaitley. How many times he has been summoned?" Ashutosh asked.
