Patna station tops list of railway WiFi users searching for porn

Free WiFi at railway stations has proven to be a big hit and the reason for that won’t shock you. It seems like porn tops the list of searches and the station leading that particular race is Patna station.

Up till now, 23 stations in the country have free WiFi. An official of RailTel, a state-run company in charge of broadband services told IANS: "More than any other railway station in the country, where free Wi-Fi service was launched, the Patna railway station is on the top in the country for using internet search, particularly serach for porn sites.”

After Patna, the station second in the list is Jaipur, followed by Bengaluru and New Delhi. Patna is the first station in the state of Bihar to get WiFi and over 400 stations in the country are likely to get WiFi in the next three years. Two years ago, when the Bihar govt introduced free WiFi in the city of Patna, it was used mostly to download movies.
