The Joint Admission Board (JAB) for IITs has formed a panel that would suggest measures to boost number of women in these premier technology institutes.
Sources said the issue of encouraging more female students to join Indian Institutes of Technology was discussed in a meeting of the JAB on Sunday.
There has been a decrease in the number of girls who have cracked JEE, prompting the JAB to take the decision to form the panel.
