Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya's grandson among four injured in mishap

Four persons, including Girdhar Malviya, grandson of BHU founder Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and his wife, were today injured when the car in which they were travelling fell into a road side ditch here. Police said the incident took place this afternoon when Girdhar and his wife were travelling with their son and another person to Varanasi from Allahabad.

Their car lost control and after hitting a bike, fell into a 10-feet deep ditch in Teori village in Aurai area here, police said. The injured were rushed to the hospital, where treatment is underway, police said, adding, the matter is being probed.

Girdhar Malviya was a proposer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when he filed nominations for Varanasi Lok Sabha seat last year.
