Taking reporting to an unexpected level, a Pakistani journalist on Saturday reported from inside the grave where celebrated philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi will be put to rest, facing severe backlash on social media.
Abdul Sattar Edhi, who had dedicated his life to humanity and serving the poor, passed away from renal failure at the age of 92. Edhi's funeral prayers will be offered today after which he will be laid to rest at the Edhi village he founded 25 years ago.
Pakistan's leading news channel Express News aired the news package in which a reporter was seen laying in and reporting the story 'exclusively' from the grave.
On Twitter, several viewers slammed the channel for disrespectful broadcast and called it a shameful act.
