Pakistan Supreme Court orders PTI, PAT to allow clear access of court

The Pakistan Supreme Court decreed that the protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are infringing on the rights of people's right to access the court, reports stated.

According to media organizations, the five-member bench, led by chief justice Nasirul Mulk told the attorneys of both parties to ensure free movement of people by Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Islamist conservative politician Sirajul Haq said that the latest round of talks between the government and the PTI and PAT had been successful and that the PTI was considering an arrangement which would allow Nawaz Sharif to resign for a period of 30 days, in which the Supreme Court would deliberate on the legality of the general elections.

Haq also added that he commended the supporters of PTI and PAT for not using violence during their protest.

Meanwhile, PAT chief Tahirul Qadri presented a 48 hour deadline to the governments, demanding that the members of the Pakistan national assembly resign before the deadline expired.
