Three officials of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad were recalled from Pakistan, foiling the Inter-Services Intelligence's (ISI) bid to honeytrap them and extract information, reported Times of India.

The officials, whose names are being withheld, are being questioned and were recalled earlier this week.

A report said that the bid was foiled before classified document could be passed on to ISI, as the officials approached senior Indian authorities for help.

The officials worked with the language section and were responsible for the translation of official documents, said a report, adding that the government will decide in the next few days how to proceed in the matter.
