Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Sunday attacked Pakistan for promoting cross border terrorism. Rawat said the neighbour on the western sector has been indulging in a proxy war for the past 30 years.

The Army Chief said we have to understand that we have disputed land borders on our Northern Frontiers and partially unsettled borders on our western sector. General Rawat had recently warned Pakistan and said that strong action will be taken to curb terror activities along the border with Pakistan.

General Rawat said that armed forces need to be prepared by imbibing new technologies so as to keep pace with advancements in warfare as there is no scope for peace anywhere in the near future.

Gen Rawat also said India needs to focus on artificial intelligence and big data analysis than keeping it confined to definitions.

"Our adversary on northern borders is spending huge amounts of money on artificial intelligence and cyber warfare, we can't be left behind," he added.
