Pakistan and Lashkar terror matrix in Jammu and Kashmir exposed again

Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Taiba's role in exporting terror has been exposed after the Indian army recovered Jamat-ud-Dawa's thermal suits and Pakistan made items from the three infiltrators who were gunned down by troops on the Line of Control (LoC) in Saujian area of Poonch sector.

Indian Army had foiled an infiltration bid in Poonch-Saujian area near Makhiari Nala on December 3 and killed three top militants. The operation was launched in the evening hours on December 3 when the infiltration bid was detected by surveillance devices and the sentries guarding the area of operation.

"The area was cordoned off and search operations carried on till next day morning. On 4 December, army recovered a huge quantity of arms, ammunitions and other war likes stores. Many Pakistan manufactured/ origin items were also recovered (from slain ultras", said Colonel SD Goswami, defence spokesman at Northern Command Headquarters.

The items recovered from three slain militants included two AK-47 rifles, one AK-56 rifle, one long barrel rifle one (Sniper), two pistols, one UBGL, 2005 rounds of AK-47 amounation, four UBGL grenade, 20 rounds of Pistol, five sniper rounds.

What however has exposed Pakistan was the recovery of thermal suits of Jamat-ud-Dawa, the fountainhead of Lashkar-e-Taiba led by Mumbai terror mastermind Hafiz Mohammad Sayeed, and Pakistani made food items used by infiltrators to sustain during infiltration.

The other items include one sleeping bag 01, six socks, three blankets, 20 fuel tablets, six biscuit packets, two oil bottles,13 dry fruit packets, 14 assorted toffies, three thermal trousers, one thermal t shirt, one knee cap. Besides, roties pickle, water bottles, medicines and lip balm were also recovered.

"The recovery of Pakistani items including Jamat-ud-dawa clothing bears the testimony of Pakistan's involvement in exporting terror and sending in Lashkar militants to foment trouble in Jammu and Kashmir," said an army officer.
