Pakistan a synonym for terrorism, full freedom to Army to avenge attack: PM Modi in Yavatmal

Two days after the deadliest Pulwama terror attack where 40 CRPF personnels were martyred, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again on Saturday said that the government has given free hand to the Army to decide when, how and where they will revenge the blood of our brave soldiers.

Addressing a rally in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district’s Pandharkavda region, PM Modi said that the people of the country are extremely angry after the Pulwama attack and this he can very well sense and understand. The Prime Minister assured the citizens that perpetrators of the attack will be avenged.

Mentioning that Pakistan has become a synonym for terrorism, PM Modi said that a country which came into the existence after partition and is on the verge of bankruptcy has become a second name to terrorism.

The Prime Minister once again reitrated that the attackers behing the Pulwama attack will be punished and asked the people of the country to keep patience and faith in our armed forces, who have been given free hand.

Besides talking about the Pulwama attack, PM Modi launched various development schemes and talked about Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme under which 1.25 crore farmers families will get Rs 6,000 annualy in their bank accounts.

PM Modi also thanked people for choosing a decisive government which has completed 4 and half years of its 5-year term during which it worked with pure intentions.

The Prime Minister said that government was working towards improving living standards of the tribals and to also avail better medical and sports facilities and other developmental work in the tribal areas as Yavatmal district has sizeable Tribal population. Prime Minister recalled that he had mentioned the cleanliness drive by Xhandrapur youth in his program Mann Ki Baat.

Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Hansraj Ahir as well as Yavatmal guardian minister Madan Yerawar also shared the dias along with PM Modi.

Modi said that the foundation stone has been laid for road projects worth Rs. 500 crores and train between Ajani in Nagpur and Pune has started from today. He said that 1.45 million Pucca houses have been built under Pradhan Mantra Awas Yojana and in Maharashtra 2.5 lakh houses have been built. He told that Yavatmal alone has work for 12 thousand houses going on and these houses provide confidence resulting in increased dreams and confidence of the housewives. He told that the houses have been registered in the name of the housewife as owner of the house.

He recounted that minimum support price for 50 forest produce has been decided compared to earlier 10. He also announced opening of Eklavya model school at Kinvat with a remote control.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also announced that the revolving fund for the women’s self-help groups is now increased from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1, 00,000 lakh. Fadnavis told that the network of the SHGs has grown in last 4 years and compared to 3 lakh families before 4 years, there are 35 lakh families involved in SHGs till today.

He told that the Khavti loan (contingency loan for survival during non-farming months) of Rs. 361 crore for Tribal population has been waived by his government and that it would also be providing food-grains so that such loan would not be required in the future. Fadnavis told that a total of 2.65365 lakh farmers from Yavatmal have availed the benefit of loan waiver given by his Government.
