'Our family feels complete': Isha Ambani's heart-felt message for brother Akash and 'bhabhi' Shloka Mehta
A brother’s wedding is a very special occasion for every sister and more so when they are twins.
As the engagement of Akash Ambani, son of India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, made global headlines, it was actually his twin sister Isha Ambani who stole the show at the Mumbai party.
Now, reports have come about how Isha Ambani made an emotion and heart-felt speech during the star-studded bash at Antilla, residence of Ambanis.
‘Today is all about ‘hearts’. The theme is ‘hearts’, Shloka is a ‘heart’, Akash is a ‘heart’; it’s about the greeting of hearts, the meeting of hearts, and the celebration of hearts. And Anant and I are all hearts for Shloka and Akash. I don’t think our hearts could burst any more with love and affection than it is today. And, we are just so happy to call Akash our bhai and Shloka our bhabhi,’ Isha Ambani said at the party, the Indian Express reported on Thursday.
‘Welcome to the family. But the truth is that Shloka has been a part of our family since as far as I can remember. Diya and I were in school together, and Diya is the first best friend I ever had. And, by relation, Shloka has also been my best friend since…I don’t know, I can’t even remember a time in my life when I didn’t know Shloka. So in many ways, this is the officialising the fact that we were sisters; born to different mothers. And I am just so happy that I finally get to call her my real sister. And, our family feels complete in a way that it never did before. So, welcome to the family,’ the twin sister said.
The stunning gala event at Antilla was attended by Jab Tak Hai Jaan and upcoming movie Zero's co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, who were the first to arrive to congratulate the newly-engaged couple.
Ace filmmaker Karan Johar, Amir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao and Natasha Poonawalla also attended the party.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who looked gorgeous came to attend the function along with her daughter Aradhya Bachchan.
The Mumbai party came a day after an intimate ceremony in Goa where Akash Ambani proposed his classmate Shloka Mehta and the Ambanis visiting Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai on Ram Navami to seek blessings.
Shloka is the daughter of prominent diamantaire, Russell Mehta.
While Akash Ambani is the eldest son of Nita and Mukesh Ambani, India's richest man who heads Reliance Industries, Shloka Mehta is the youngest daughter of Mona and Russell Mehta, who run Rosy Blue Diamonds.
