Outraged over the incident of two Ministers caught on camera allegedly watching porn in the Karnataka assembly, Congress and JDS demanded their resignation and also disqualification from Assembly membership.

Congress and JDS leaders urged Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda to dismiss Minister for Cooperation Laxman Savadi and Minister for Women and Child Development CC Patil.

Congress leader Siddaramaiah said both the ministers should quit forthwith or they should be dismissed from the ministry. The Speaker K G Bopaiah should not allow them to enter the assembly tomorrow, he added.

Former chief minister and JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy slammed the conduct of the two ministers and wanted Gowda to drop them from the ministry and their disqulaification from the assembly membership.

"BJP leaders preach people about preserving Hindu culture. But in their hearts and minds, they indulge in these kind of activities. The actions of these two ministers has cast a slur on the good image of the state legislatures", he told PTI.

"Disgraceful. This should not have happened," said D H Shankaramurthy, Chairman of Legislative council

JDS spokesman YSV Datta and former assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar too sought their resignation.

Former minister B Sreeramulu said both Savadi and Patil should be removed from the membership of Legislative Assembly as government had suspended two officers for watching obscene videos during a meeting chaired by Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar in Mysore recently.

Former minister Bhalchandra Jarakiholi said he was "disturbed" to hear two of his friends Savadi and Patil allegedly watching porno clippings in the Assembly.

"They should not have done this ... The reputation of the Assembly has taken a hit," he said.
