A worker was killed and another injured after the cradle of a high mast lighting tower crashed during a maintenance job inside IOC owned Gujarat refinery at Koyali, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Govind Gohil, while the injured is one Ramesh, said Jawaharnagar police were a case of accidental death has been registered.
Three contract workers of K G N Electricals were carrying out maintenance work of high mast lighting tower when at around 4 PM yesterday the cradle of high mast tower fell down injuring two workers, said a release issued by the IOC.
The workers were immediately rushed to the Refinery Hospital where Govind was declared brought dead, while Ramesh is undergoing treatment and is out of danger, said the release.
