Tourists visiting the state of Rajasthan will now have yet another train to witness the flora and fauna of the state. A dedicated train for viewing the Sambhar Lake is being planned in the state.

Though it will not take you across the state, this train will have the natural process of salt getting deposited in the lake on display. Apart from this, the train will have one more speciality.

It will be on a meter gauge railway line which was already in place.

However, the work to upgrade and rehabilitate this meter gauge line will be completed in the upcoming months, informed the officials of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC).

This ride will start from a place called Jhapok which is between Sambhar and Shakhambhari Mata temple. The tourists will be able to see the lake and the other natural scenery in about 13-14 km length of this train journey.

For this, a station has been made at Jhapok, from where the tourists will board the train. Sources informed that this project is expected to be completed in 2018.

This will be the third train in the state which will showcase the state's natural beauty to the tourists.

RTDC is already running Palace on wheels which is a royal train. However, the train —heritage palace on wheels— is also expected to be rolled out soon to showcase the Shekhawati region of the state.
