Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on Thursday had a piece of advice for famous personalities joining politics and politicians switching parties: "Delete all posts (on social media) critical of party you are joining".

"Note to famous people joining politics - before joining check your Twitter/FB (facebook) archive & delete all posts critical of party you are joining," Omar wrote on the microblogging site twitter.com.

"Note to politicians - this applies to those of you switching parties & alliances as well," he said in another tweet. Omar's tweets came in the wake of Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely and former cop and activist Kiran Bedi joining BJP ahead of Delhi polls.
