Offence registered for illegal chopping of 112 trees

The police registered an offence against one Chandrakant Laxminarayan Soni at Satpur police station on Monday for illegally chopping 112 silver oak trees in block number 432 (A) on Dadoba Road.

The trees were shopped without permission from the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) after NMC Garden Supervisor VH Mogal lodged a complaint against Soni, an NMC press release stated. NMC's Garden Inspector and Divisional Officer rushed to the spot, filed a report on the chopped trees as well as lodged complaint against Soni. Based on it, the Satpur police station registered an offence, the release release added.
