Two students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, drowned while they were taking a bath in a waterfall in Mahupali area of this district, police said on Sunday.

Two students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, drowned while they were taking a bath in a waterfall in Mahupali area of this district, police said on Sunday.
Nishant Rawat (22) of Uttarkhand and Soumya Ranjan Baral (22) of Puri were among 35 students who had been to Gudguda fall for a picnic when the mishap occurred on Saturday, Sub-divisional Police Officer, Kuchinda, RP Sahu said.
All the students were of final year civil engineering department of NIT-R. The body of Nishant was fished out on Saturday, while that of Baral was retrieved on Sunday, police said.
