At least six people died and 25 others injured after the bus carrying them came in contact with a high tension electric wire in Odisha's Dhenkanal district.
The incident took place near Saraswati Sishu Mandir Chawk of Bhubana town. The bus was taking a detour due to a blockade on the main road and came in contact with a dangling 11 KV live wire. As reported, the bus was on its way to Kamakshyanagar from Jajpur.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. two lakhs compensation to next of kin of the dead.
