'Odhani odhu odhu ne udi jae'

Icons of the Gujarati film industry and star campaigners of the BJP, actor Naresh Kanodia, elder brother Mahesh and son Hitu visited Sarkhej, Gyaspur, Vejalpur gaam and Mamadpur villages on Thursday evening.

Addressing the crowd, Hitu spoke as if narrating lines straight out of a film. Naresh and Mahesh wowed the crowd by singing hit Gujarati songs like ‘Jagre Malan jag’. The Kanodia family is addressing around five public gatherings and rallies daily, mostly in rural areas of the state. They have also been given a chartered plane to travel from one venue to another.

Mahesh is the sitting MP from Patan, but will not contest this time around on account of ill health. Naresh is a former MLA from Karjan assembly constituency in Vadodara. He lost the last assembly election by a thin margin.

“Our aim is to draw in maximum votes for the BJP. We love receiving love from the people,” said Naresh Kanodia.
