Solar Scam accused Saritha Nair today alleged that a obscene video clipping appearing on Whatsapp and social media was part of a "political conspiracy" to see her end, to make her commit suicide.

"It is a clear case of morphing and there is no truth in it. Some vested interests are behind this, whom I am going to expose during my deposition in Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Pathanamthitta next week where I have filed a case to investigate the source behind this," Nair, who appeared for a hearing in a court here in connection with the solar scam, told reporters.

Nair, one of the two accused in the scam, claimed she had been receiving threatening calls for the last six months but ignored them. She had also claimed that she had received such calls a week ago asking her to give interviews to media that Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, five ministers and seven MLAs, including two from LDF, were involved in the Solar Scam.

Nair said that after she refused to do so the callers, who she claimed phoned her from Oman, Dubai and Saudi Arabia and spoke in Malayalam, released a morphed media.

"Their idea is to prompt me to commit suicide in shame, as done usually by a common woman," she said.

Asked whether she suspected this could be the handiwork of some disgruntled Congressmen or those in LDF or BJP, she said, "I will name them in the court."

Nair also said she was going to file cases against those 28,000 persons, who liked and shared the video.

The solar scam made headlines in Kerala last year.

Nair and her her live-in partner Biju Radhakrishnan were arrested for duping people by promising them solutions for solar panels and windmills.
