Now, Praveen Togadia says construction of Ram temple on VHP's agenda

VHP today said that construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is on its agenda. "Construction of Ram temple, food to lakhs of hungry people and employment to needy youths are on the agenda of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)," its leader Praveen Togadia told reporters here.

"We will ensure food to hungry people and employment to the youth without support of the government," he said.

Congress leader Rashid Alvi, mocked Togadia's statement, saying, "Praveen Togadia is mentally unstable, he should be sent to Agra for his statements. Modiji should look into this." Agreeing with Alvi, was Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Sigh Yadav, who aslo condemend Togadia.

Reacting to it, Muslim cleric KRF Mahali, said, "We condemn Praveen Togadia's in strongest way possible, action should be taken against him."

In an statement that set off strong reactions from the Muslim community as well as the public in general, Praveen Togadia, president of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), said on Saturday evening that Muslims shouldn't be allowed to buy property in Hindu areas. The statement was made while Togadia, along with VHP and Bajranj Dal members, stood in protest outside the house owned by a Muslim businessman in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. He gave the resident 48 hours to move out of the house, which if not complied with, he suggested taking control of the house and putting a Bajranj Dal board on it. Read more
