Officer's Choice whisky from Allied Blenders & Distillers remained the largest selling whisky in the world for the fourth year in a row, clocking 32.3 million nine-litre cases and also the world's second largest spirits brand by volume.

"Our flagship brand Officer's Choice whisky remains the world's largest selling whisky for the fourth year in a row and also the second largest spirits brand globally, selling 32.3 million cases, as per the latest International Wine & Spirits Research (IWSR) ranking," ABD said in statement today.

The brand is placed second to South Korea's Soju-Jinro, which has maintained the number one spot, the statement added. In the domestic market too, the brand continues to be the market leader with a wide manrgin enjoying 40 per cent market share in the regular whisky segment, Jeetendra Hemdev, the executive director of ABD, said. For the past four decades IWSR has been a trusted and largest source of data and analytics on the global alcohol- beverage market covering brand performance in 155 countries.
