On party patriarch L K Advani not being included in BJP's Parliamentary Board, Kalyan Singh termed it an organisational decision and said it was the time to give more opportunity to youngsters.
"No reaction on it. It is related to organisational decision. No comments."

"This is a time to give more and more opportunity to youngsters. This should be done in every political party," he said.

When questioned if like former acting Governor Ram Naik, who had sought to drop honorific word "Mahamahim" from his name, he will use any other synonym, Singh said, "'Mananiya' (honourable) word should be used".

When asked if it was BJP's stand to replace "Mahamahim" word with "Mananiya", Singh said, "It is our (he and Ram Naik) decision. We are both in BJP.

"I also do not like the use of words 'Janta Darbar' and will prefer 'Janta Darshan', as public come to us and we see them (during such programmes).

"I will not hold any parallel 'Janta Darshan' because a competent government led by an able CM will do it. I am sure the state government will not only listen to public grievances but will also redress them," he said.

Singh's swearing-in ceremony today was witnessed by former Congress Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Haryana Governor Jagannath Paharia and Raje's Cabinet colleagues, among others.

Thousands of people from Uttar Pradesh also thronged the tent erected for the swearing-in ceremony amid intermittent rains.
