Amid intense war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena ahead of BMC polls, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said that the incumbent government will complete its tenure.

"There is no threat to my government for five years," said Fadnavis.

Fadnavis' remark came a day after Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that the 'Fadnavis government is running on notice.'

"Every political decision has its own time...a 'muhurat'. Sena president Uddhavji Thackeray has announced that we will not have a tie-up with any political party. He has made it clear that the Sena will hereafter be on its own...You must read the political meaning...At this point of time I would only say that the Fadnavis government is on notice," Raut had said on Sunday.

Meanwehile, Fadnavis on Monday expressed confidence that BJP will come to power in the Mumbai civic body.

Reacting to the Hardik Patel's meeting with Uddhav Thackeray, he said, "When earth shatters, one needs to take such steps."
